Too many variables

Ping is a little too sharp/high. Still learning how and where to hit it in order to get a variety of tones and sounds. Sustain is a little too long for my taste. I bought it because I had purchased the Zildjan I series crash cymbal and liked it. Maybe it will grow on me...?
