Power up the Yamaha YPG-535 Digital Grand Piano and start playing this powerful, portable keyboard with it’s 12 watt, 2-way full-range built-in stereo speaker system. In addition to the Yamaha sampled grand piano, there are a total number of 472 keyboard sounds along with 12 Drum/SFX kits.

Built-in auto-accompaniment provides 160 pre-set, popular music styles at the touch of a button and turn of a dial. Easy to access controls for INTRO, MAIN x 2, FILL-IN and ENDING are all there on the top panel and help lift your playing experience to new heights as your creativity takes flight. The selectable Full Keyboard Mode enables you to guide the auto accompaniment with your right hand (not just the left) so you can be free to play full on piano with precise backing, a very nice feature.

Registration memory allows you to take a digital “snapshot” of your current setup (patch choice, accompaniment, tempo, etc.) and save it to one of 16 Registration locations located right above the keys for easy access. This makes it a cinch to select setups on the fly and arm you with a way to make a complete song/genre change with the simple touch of a button.

A big easy to turn data entry dial alongside direct numerical buttons and +/- enable quick and precise data entry while a big, backlit Custom LCD displays all the information and selections. A handy, built-in 6-track sequencer allows you to capture your performance and play it back or construct a multi-track song, complete with full-on accompaniment.

The Yamaha YPG-535 has 30 built-in songs, with 70 more on the included CD, to use together with the onboard Yamaha Education Suite. Seven levels of piano lessons plus a chord dictionary teach you hands-on and automatically increases the value of this fantastic keyboard.

Connect to a computer (Mac/PC) via the USB port to download additional songs. Play your songs into the computer, edit them and share with friends and family. A handy 2nd USB port allows for connection to USB storage devices.

Exactly what I was looking for

I' have only just started to learn how to play piano, but I wanted a full, 88-key keyboard and this one had the best price for a well-known and trusted company. There are cheaper 88-key keyboards out there, but reviews say they don't last long before something quits working on them. Yamaha has a good reputation, so I chose to go with them.

Fantastic Keyboard

.I use the keyboard to practice the piano as I began taking lessons again recently. I also use it to write and record music using the background accompaniments. I love the real piano like feel and sound. I love the variety of instruments and backgrounds.

Great place to start

This is a great keyboard if you're looking to get on the path to be the next Ben Folds. 88 Keys, with a built in stand, makes practicing at home a fun a decorative experience. Although this keyboard doesn't offer weighted keys, it does provide you with great Yamaha sounds and the ability to play along with drum tracks, as well as the ability to record some of your song ideas. Its an overall winner in my book, if you're looking to get started on a budget. This is a real hands on product review from Steve at Sam Ash Indianapolis

Great Keyboard!

This is a great keyboard. The detachable legs make it great for travel, however the legs give it a great look for an item you are keeping at home. This keyboard is full of features including tons of different sounds, built in recording for songwriting, and a metronome. This keyboard is great for the beginner or intermediate player. Awesome Piano

The Yamaha YPG-535 88-Key Portable Grand Piano is the piano for you If you've been playing for a while and are looking to step up your game a bit, but you don't have the type of budget that allows you to buy a $1500 keyboard. Intermediate players are probably best fit for this board, though anyone can use it. It has a large number of instruments and the sound quality is amazing. Great keyboard!

A great keyboard for the buy, amazing sounds and full size. This has a base that comes with it for more of a conventional home use. However the base is easily removed for traveling or gigging. Excellent for any beginner to semi-professional players. The keys are not weighted but the have a great touch response to at least practice dynamics.
