I was simply looking for a piece of analog synth gear to add to my current recording setup. Not trying to sound like the next Jai Paul at all... This was exactly what I needed. The perfect introduction to synthesis creation for those classic mono AND poly synth sounds. I can record a funky/future sounding square wave/pulse wave bass, then lay crispy/wide saw wave chords on top, and all the time I'm making these sounds from scratch. It is pure joy to sit there and experiment with newfound knowledge of how synth sounds work. All without sacrificing the warmth and quality of an analog/hardware feel. The only downsides I've found in this purchase is 1. the pitch bend stick has become a little loose and therefor laggy when playing leads - not the biggest dealbreaker ever as it's still functional + 2. what you've recorded into the looper changes waves/oscillators as you change to play over what you've recorded - this means no multi-oscillated loops but that's not a big deal either as I'm using this to record into a DAW where I can multitrack as much as I wish. Hope this helps you decide! It really is an amazing instrument to explore especially at the price point.
