The small footprint of the Yamaha MG06 is perfect for those smaller jobs where you don't need or want to transport a larger mixer to the gig or for recording stereo demos to your PC ...or just simply kicking out the jams at rehearsal.

And its 6-channel input section (2 Mic / 6 Line Inputs [2 mono + 2 stereo]) lets you plug in your guitar, keys and mic and you're off to the races, just like that! Plus the included +48V phantom power will let you connect your best electric condenser mic so you can have your "sound" whenever and wherever you go.

D-PRE (Discrete Class-A Mic Preamps)
Delivering fat, natural sounding bass and smooth, soaring highs, with very low distortion, D-PRE preamps possess an impressively wide frequency range that allow them to handle signal from any audio source without overly amplifying any specific elements of the sound. Having such a pure sonic platform to build on will ultimately save you time and effort by eliminating the need for excessive EQing or additional effects processing in order to "fix" your mix.

Metal Chassis
Built to last, MG Series mixers feature a rugged, impact-resistant, powder-coated metal chassis, offering an unrivalled level of durability. With a sleek design contoured for optimal convection cooling, the internal layout separates the power supply from the analog circuitry for superior noise reduction, and further extends the life of the components inside.

great product

perfect size for what I do

Great Pre-amp.

I use this on my electric drum set. Cable-wise my Drum amp is more than 50 feet. I needed a way to get a non-amp drum module to push sound over 50 feet away. This took care of that problem. I have a small 12 foot cable from the drums to the mixer, than two balanced XLR cables going to my drum amp. Works nicely, with no interference.

Great buy and affordable

Smooth compact precise

Great little mixer

Great little mixer for the price, Does exactly what I need.

Mike Calami at Sam Ash is always such a big help. This product with his recommendation has been incredible.

Great for smaller events

This is great for those smaller gigs when you don't want/need to bring out the big guns. Also great for mixing effects through your rig in an acoustic setting when you want control over your own personal mix onstage.

Compact, but everything you need

The MG Series embodies the pursuit of design excellence, and incorporates some of the same technologies developed for use in high-end professional consoles, including studio-quality preamps, powerful digital processing, and a rugged, reliable construction. The Yamaha MG06 is a six channel mixing console with two mic (XLR hybrid) and six Line Inputs (2 mono + 2 stereo), one Stereo Bus, and one AUX send. You can count on a transparent, natural, and articulate sound when you mix through a MG Series analog mixer. This is a hands on review from Jeremy at Sam Ash Indianapolis

can't beat the price

I love the Yamaha MG line of mixers. They have a great look, great sound, and great features! Only reason why I'm giving this one a 4/5 stars is because I wish they would've added at least 1 compressor for Channel 1. The bigger units have it so it's kind of a bummer that that smallest one doesn.t but I can also understand why. In general the mixer is fantastic. Simple and great sounding. Good buy!
