The Yamaha DTX532K Electronic Drum Set is a solid kit that will deliver every time you sit behind the kit.  This incredibly affordable and diverse kit comes equipped with the DTX502 drum module, which delivers an unrivaled sound and response.

The Yamaha DTX532K Electronic Drum Set comes with a snare pad, three tom pads, a bass drum pad, two cymbal pads, and an upgraded hi-hat pad with stand. This kit is held together by the ever solid RS502 Drum Rack which was designed to be both transportable, and easy to set up.  The tom and kick pads have a traditional and familiar "practice pad" surface while the snare pad has been upgraded to the XP80. This is a three zone pad composed of textured cellular silicone. The silicone gives the pad a soft, smooth feel with an excellent rebound. It also helps eliminate cross-talk between the drums, giving you a pure, true sound. The cymbals are 3-zone as well and deliver a realistic tone while having a wonderful response.

The Yamaha DTX502 Drum Module is the heart and soul of this kit.  With over 690 sounds, 50 preset drum kits covering virtually every genre, you’re sure to find the perfect sound for the gig. This module also gives you the ability to create up to 50 different “user kits” where you can create and store your own personalized sets. The DTX502 drum module gives you the same sound quality and versatility as many large collections, except you won’t have to spend a fortune. It is also equipped with a high-quality metronome that allows you to customize the rhythm and tone functions to your liking. It also has "Groove-Check" and "Rhythm-Gate" features which will really test your sense of time.

Un real Sound and feel

Purchased this in Feb. Played drums when I was 5 - 18 till leaving for the service and had not played since. At 53 I decided to get a set and wanted to go electronic so my wife would not kill me so I could use headphones. Was skeptical about how they would feel and sound but was fast blown away. They sound awesome with or without headphones. I mostly play through a powered speaker and it is just a lot of fun. The only issue was I had to take the kick pad back just yesterday. It malfunctioned. Sam ash replaced it and all is good. Easy to assemble and does not take up too much space... Love it

I would not buy this product again

Easy to set up. The feel of the drum pads feel just ok. Trying to tweek the drum sounds to my liking is very difficult to figure out. I do not want to spend more time trying to find the right sound then acutely playing this thing. I have had this set for two weeks now and just can find the right setup. So I'm packing it back up and returning it to the store. Thinking about getting the Alesis Strike kit.

First Time Buyer Of Electronic Drums

I compared this kit to others in the same price range and think it gave me the best of what I wanted. I like the High Hat stand rather than a mounted one to the rack which limits placement and the feel of an acoustic set up. I like the 3 Zone Cymbals which give a better feel of actual cymbals and you can play the bell which was important to me. Kick pad is nice looking, sturdy and sounds great. I don't like just a trigger mounted to the rack like some kits have, This again is because I was looking for the acoustic feel I am used to. Pads are responsive and sound really good. The rack is not huge but is solid and easy to assemble. Kit is well packed and directions are clear and easy to understand. The module is packed with lots of great features and the entire kit is just a lot of fun. I have always had acoustic drums and I am a Zildjian or nothing cymbal snob but I am sold on this kit and like playing it. The only reason for the 4 stars is because the photo shows a kick pedal which leads people to think it is included. Not everyone reads the whole disclaimer or product description! Also be aware that some sets are shipped without a power supply for the module and this is because they are shipped all over the world. Mine had the adapter in with the module which is packed in with the rack. Ask the sales person about this to be sure you get one. Use a decent set of headphones and I think you will agree this kit Rocks!

Excellent Kit!

This is a great kit! There are so many uses for it. This is DTX Drums at it's best. I think that this model of DTX is where quality and affordability intersect.

Great quality & price!

This unit is perfect for the studio or at home. When using this product I was amazed at how rich & warm the drum kits were. Needless to say, Yamaha has lived up to their name in reliability & ease of use. Highly recommended to everyone! I'm a staff reviewer at Sam Ash Music.

Yamaha Quality at it's best

The Yamaha DTX532k is a 5 piece electronic drum set that will blow your mind. The single mesh type pad is a great playing surface and is really responsive. While the rubber pads offer a stable playing surface. 50 different kits to chose from or you can make your own. I'm a Staff reviewer at Sam Ash Music.

DTX Drums are the Deal!

IThe DTX series is a very versatile kit that allow the player to really find a kit that fits their needs then expand on it. They feel great where alot fo electronic kits feel like plastic practice pads. The biggest problem with electronic kits fro most drummers is the feel..and these feel fantastic!! Whether playing live or in the studio...its a great choice for any player I am a staff reviewer at Sam Ash Music

Go Yamaha!

Love It! I jam on it some times and can't get over that amazing preset funk kit, #6.. and the 3-zone silicone head snare trigger. The best Electric set I've played so far #I'm a staff reviewer at Sam Ash Music

Roland look out!!

If you're considering an electric kit, do yourself a solid and try this Yamaha out! Everyone knows Roland and their products are great, but Yamaha has been nice enough to include a set with an actual hi-hat stand!! As others have said, the snare pad on this kit is exceptional! The best I have felt EVER. And yes.....it's ultra quiet! Yamaha has always made very nice, soft and responsive rubber pads so this kit is no different. Easy and quick to set up, takes headphones for quiet play or has stereo outputs for louder venues. The module has loads of sounds to keep you busy customizing your sound or allow you to change it up whenever you feel like. Flexability is always a plus in the drum world. Try this this out!!. *I am a staff reviewer at Sam Ash Music

Its great!

I set out to purchase an electric drum kit because I felt it would make recording much easier. I don't live and breathe drums, but I can bust some beats. =} I have too much love for other instruments and recording but its so fun to drum..Anyway, the kit was definitely out of my price range when i initially walked in. I was stuck between Yamaha and Roland. Sam Ash store on Sunset didn't have the competing model in stock neither did they have the Yamaha DTX 400 models. I knew that I wanted a kit with more quality. This kit had the quality in sound I was looking. I fell in the love the different types of acoustic kits stored on the sound module. I just love it. I noticed that after a couple jam session with my band, the hi hat cymbal began to bend. I have a warranty on it, so no worries. I do love it. This is probably the best way to go because of the price and drum samples.
