Great Bass Bottom at low price

I use them outdoor concerts for my sound reinforcement jobs. You must have a great amp Crest CA 1200 or Samson 2800 at brigde 1,800 watts RMS for them to pump just raw great bass for your concerts. They can't be beat for the price is right. They can rock the beat just have power to run them.

Yamaha CW218V with QSC GX-5

I purchased this dual 18-inch subwoofer and a QSC GX5 to power it. The GX5 is not bridgable (though somebody said to bridge it anyways by connecting both the '+' on each channel to the same speaker), but when only using a single channel was rated at 850W at 4-ohms 1kHz and 0.1% clipping. Although the speaker said it can handle 1200W 'program' at 4-ohms, the 850W on it sounds good. When I first bought the system, I put it in another room and turned up the volume to max. After running 'Miami Bass' music like Techmaster PEB and BASS 305 on it for several minutes, I smelled it burning. I quickly lowered the volume so the amp didn't clip and the speaker could cool down. Since then, I've had it up to partial clipping many times and have never smelled any coil burn since. The speaker really lets me feel the bass (while wearing ear protection). It's like getting a full-body massage. I'm thinking about buying another SW218V for the other channel of my GX5 (GX5 can do 700W x 2 at 4-ohms 0.1% clipping) so I can get another 3-db or so of bass. Too bad they didn't make dual 21's.
