Featuring Yamaha Proprietary Trans Acoustic technology with built-in Hall Reverb, Room Reverb, and Chorus, a System 70 TransAcoustic + SRT Piezo pickup, and a solid Sitka spruce top, the the rich tone and inspiring effects of this guitar will capture everyone's attention wherever you're playing.

Yamaha Proprietary Trans Acoustic Technology with Built-In Hall Reverb, Room Reverb, and Chorus
An actuator installed on the inner surface of the guitar back vibrates in response to the vibrations of the strings. The vibrations of the actuator are then conveyed to the body of the guitar, and to the air in and around the guitar body, generating authentic reverb and chorus sounds from inside the body.

System 70 TransAcoustic + SRT Piezo Pickup
Three simple knobs let you adjust the degree of effect applied and the line out volume level. Additionally, keeping the controls small minimizes the area of the holes in the body material, reducing acoustic sound loss. Included is a Chorus Control, Reverb Control (Room / Hall), and TA Switch / Line Out Volume Control.

* Pressing the TA Switch for more than 0.3 seconds activates the TA function.
* When a cable is connected to the line-out jack, the line out volume can be adjusted by rotating the TA Switch / Line Out Volume Control knob.
* The reverb type switches from Room to Hall around the 12:00 position.

Solid Sitka Spruce Top
Arguably the most common tonewood, Sitka is a well-rounded tonewood, one suited for many styles of playing. It's known for its tight grain pattern and its high stiffness and relative lightness, translating to a broad dynamic range that stands up well when strummed heartily. At the same time, it's also quite responsive to fingerpicking, though a light touch may result in a thin sound. Sitka tends to have stronger fundamentals than overtones, so it can sound not quite as robust when played with a lighter touch.

Sounds great

Sounds really great. Using as a travel guitar since it's so small but has that awesome sound from the electronics.

Good guitar for the price with cool built-in effects

The guitar has good sustain and volume for a small guitar. The mahogany back and sides provide a crisp sound with not a lot of overtones. Good sound for blues. The fit and finish is quite good for a guitar at this price point. I had to shave quite a bit off the saddle and tighten the truss rod to get a decent action. Most important part is the transacoustic built-in amplifier. I jam with amplified instruments and believe that this unit will allow me to hold my own. Be sure to check the green LED inside to see of the switch has been tripped. I like the reverb and chorus, but these are not for the acoustic guitar purist.
