The guitar is lightweight and looks great. A string broke after a couple weeks only of light play. It needs regular tuning. I don't regret my purchase. I'm enjoying learning classical guitar on this instrument.

So far so good

I'm a beginner guitar student, so keep that in mind with my review. I purchased a 3/4 size Ibanez steel string acoustic guitar from Sam Ash first. I had been playing on that for a few weeks. One of my online guitar classes uses a nylon string classical guitar for its lessons. So, I did a lot of online research and read reviews, and watched YouTube reviews, etc. For the price range and customer satisfaction, this Yamaha guitar CG122MCH was pretty highly rated. Because I'm new to guitars, I was pleased with the weight of it. It's lighter than the Ibanez guitar, and the strings are different of course because this is a nylon string. I love the feel and finish and look of the Yamaha. This could be the nature of the guitar, but I have to tune it quite often -- definitely each time before practicing, but even after 20 minutes of practice it needs some light tuning. My other steel string guitar doesn't need that. So, that could be just the nature of nylon string. I've read some commentary online about it. So, again, please take my 4-star review as from someone completely new to guitars. Maybe if you read something here, you can ask the retailer or a guitar expert for further explanation. I'm happy with both my guitar purchases at Sam Ash. Both guitars were delivered perfectly and well-packaged.
