The Yamaha APXT2 is a sleek 3/4 size version of Yamaha's best-selling APX500II. This fun, yet well-constructed compact guitar is perfect for travel, practice, busking and even gigging.

Packed with features, the Yamaha APXT2 includes Yamaha’s proprietary Acoustic Resonance Transducer (A.R.T.) System68 pickup system with built-in tuner, Spruce top, Meranti back and sides, Mahogany neck and a Rosewood fingerboard and bridge. It also comes with a sturdy, padded gig bag.

The System68 A. R. T. includes a one-way active preamp and transducer contact pickup system that features mid-boost EQ for tone shaping and a precision chromatic tuner. The transducer system delivers a natural acoustic tone by dampening excessive vibration from the soundboard while picking up small resonances to achieve ideal sensitivity and outstanding dynamic balance.

And what travel guitar would be complete without a gig bag included? The Yamaha APXT2 includes a proprietary gig bag that ensures that it will be able to accompany you on the beach, around campfires or anywhere else your journeys may bring you.

An absolute must have......esp 4 those who r petite

this out does my 3/4 Oscar Schmidt! Body is narrower than most acoustics, which makes it a lot easier to play. I run mine thru a Fender Acoustasonic amp and the sound is absolutely beautiful. This is also a good choice if you have a child who wants to play. Built in tuner is a wonderful thing to have. Lightweight and easy to tote around- even if you have to use a cane on occasion. So whether you have small hands, are petite, want a guitar that travels easy,or as a gift to a child, this is the one for you!

Excellent acoustic travel guitar

The action is acoustic as it should be... Sounds very nice plugged in...

Awesome Quality, Tone, & Playability

This little guitar plays and sounds great...it features a solid top which is amazing considering the price point. My kids love it because it is smaller and they can handle it easily. I like it because it did not cost an arm and a leg so I can afford to let the kids play with it. The built in cromatic tuner works, and the active electronics sound really good as well. As a huge plus the electronics are powered by two AA battery's so you won't go broke buying 9volts.... it's a really great guitar for the money. I have had 700 acoustic guitars that did not sound as good...

I would by again

Nice for travel. Can plug in and get any sound I want.

Fun Little Guitar

I purchased this guitar to have out by my chair to pick up and play without having to take my full size guitars out of their cases. This little Yamaha is ideal for this purpose. There is a slight buzz on theB string that I haven't been able to fix, so 4 stars instead of 5. I am sure I'll shop again from the Sam Ash website!

Solid product

Pretty good quality. No obvious damages. Came in good condition. Haven't used it yet.

Perfect Size Guitar to Take Everywhere!

After years of playing you start realizing how unnecessarily heavy and bulky most guitars are, I was looking for something that was smaller than usual but that still sounded great. Obviously its not a full body so its a little quiet, but i whipped out my guitar pic and it sounds amazing even tho it does lack a little bass. Also it has its jack to plug into an amp or PA system so you can definitely mess around with the loudness and tone. so overall weather you've been playing for years or just want to begin this a perfect guitar to start with or to use as a travel guitar. I have it right next to my desk and can easily grab it and play comfortably without bumping into everything and having to scoot back.

Great sounding guitar

This little guitar is awesome. There was a small blemish in the body (looks like a dark smudge under the clear coat) but not enough to go through the hassle of sending it back. I highly recommend this guitar. Super fast shipping, too.

Excellent Product, Will Buy Again

We purchased this Guitar as gently used, per the description. The guitar arrived in amazing conditions. It practically looked brand new and included a soft case for it. I want to say that Sam Ash did a fantastic job in ensuring they were selling a high quality used item to their customers. Their customer service was also top notch.

First Guitar

This is my first guitar, so I use it exclusively for learning. That being said, I can't tell you how it compares to other guitars. What I can say is that I'm enjoying it a lot. Since I'm short with small hands, I find it really comfortable playing over long periods of time. It sounds great, and the built-in turner has helped me immensely. I have no complaints so far.
