Innovations in banjo construction don't happen every day—that's part of the allure of the White Lotus 5-string banjo. Featuring a Deering patented white oak rim design, a slender white oak neck with midnight maple fingerboard, and inspired upgrades, this banjo is for the seasoned player who wants to find a new dimension in their playing.

Deering Patented White Oak Rim Design
The main focus of this enlightened instrument is its patented white oak rim, which results in a lighter banjo that retains that fantastic bluegrass tone you crave. Exceptionally lighter than your typical banjo, this 5-string offers that same the bright sound, superb clarity, excellent sustain, and power that you'd normally only expect from a banjo equipped with a metallic tone ring.

Slender White Oak Neck with Midnight Maple Fingerboard
Not only did Deering employ this fine white oak for the rim, but they decided to use it for the neck as well given the wood's inherent strength, stiffness, and stability. Carved into Deering's signature slender neck profile, the White Lotus provides an incredible playing feel while the smooth-playing midnight maple fingerboard mimics the aesthetic of ebony with the tonal crispness of maple.

Inspired Upgrades
The name of this banjo was inspired by the elegant inlays adorning the neck–varying white lotus flower designs. Popular in Eastern religions, the flower inlays add a graceful style to this banjo. In addition, the White Lotus carries an Eagle Series flange, a signature Deering peghead profile capped with a midnight maple overlay, and a glossy finish.
