There's not a performer out there that doesn't bend, pinch, or tangle their cable. That's why Whirlwind invented the Leader Series. Premium, rugged, and practically indestructable, the Leader plug's patented cable grip absorbs any typical straining in the field. And its flexible boot extension has virtually eliminated breakage at the cable exit. Combined with Accusonic+1cable, the Leader is the highest quality instrument cable manufactured today.

Great cables, would buy again.

2nd whirlwind leader cable purchase. 1st one still going strong from 1987.

Great cable at a reasonable price.

Great cables, came quickly despite the current crisis. The jacks have a definitely superior fit when plugged into guitar or amp.

Absolute incredible cable

I purchased two whirlwind cables back in the early 1980s and still use them today without a problem. Can't say that for my other guitar cables!

1985. 30 YEARS.

Whirlwind makes the greatest instrument cables ever. I even bought a 6-pack of their XLR-XLR mic cables. The 6-ft. cable that i bought way back in 1985, has always been so sturdy that it's been my favorite cable for 30 years. And it STILL ROLLS UP PERFECTLY + EFFORTLESSLY, AFTER 30 YEARS. UNREAL. Unlike all the other crummy cables i've bought that were hard to roll, broke, got left somewhere, etc, the Whirlwind cables are cables that you fall in love with and always make sure you leave with them. The perfect cable.

I have owned the same leader cable for 15 years and it has been my ONLY cable during that time(mine has the braided cover like the elite) and other than some slight fraying and fading (who cares about that?) on the braiding it performs like new STILL. If it ever craps out, I will buy the Elite Leader,if I can find it.

The best I ever owned

I used it on my Fender Jazz Bass and preformed about 2 to 5 times a week It just stopped working after 25 years of use. I purchased 3 one for my Jazz Bass and another for my Gibson SG and my Fender Strat.

Good cables

I guess you can always stumble across a bad cable, but the Whirlwind Leader has been good to me. I have a 10 footer I bought new in 1986, and it just fizzled out in 2004, and it was used, believe me. I have 3 other Whirlwinds, 10-18 footers, and they're all excellent and problem free. There may be better cables out there, but not for the money you'll spend on a Leader. Too bad Sam Ash doesn't sell the Leader Elite with gold tipped jacks and cloth covers. Those are great cables, too.

Have your soldering gun & a backup handy

These are the same line that is rebranded for Fender and included when you buy a new FMIC guitar. I really liked how this cable (10') sounded and used it exclusively for the first 4-5 months I owned my Custom American Strat. Then it became intermittent. I re soldered the connections only to have it short out inside the length of the cable. If you want a cable that sounds just as good that will last longer, buy a 15-foot Groove Plugs. I have owned on since 2004 and it is still working great.
