Changes to the V2 are as follows:

It has been converted to smaller enclosure. The capability of the side jack has been extended as it now supports external tempo or can function as expression control over Rate, Depth, Shape, or Tap Multiplier and is assignable on the fly. Tremelo response has been improved across all rates.
There are also top mounted jacks.

Inspired by the beautifully jagged, red-sand desert landscape of Monument Valley, the Monument Tremolo is both a harmonic, and standard tremolo that produces a rich, luscious, warm, pulsating modulation capable of peaks and valleys as smooth or as jagged as the real ones that our dear Mother Nature created long ago.

With different combinations of the rate, division, and shape knobs and tap tempo, everything from traditional tremolo to inspiring unique waveforms will help you carve new paths that you won't hear anywhere else.

Harken back to vintage tones inspired by Fender Brownface amps in Harmonic mode. A low-pass and high-pass version of your guitar signal are modulated opposite of each other, or 180 degree out of phase (high and low frequencies rise and fall opposite of each other). The result is a warm, almost "chewy" tremolo.

The Division knob can be set to quarter, triplet, eighth, and sixteenth.

Wave shapes can be controlled via the Shape knob. You can move between Sine, Square, Ramp, Lumps, and Monument Mode (random).

A special feature on the Monument is the bypass switch also has a momentary function. When the switch is in off position, press and hold to temporarily activate the effect to add a moment of texture. Releasing the switch turns the effect off.

When the pedal is on, press and hold the bypass switch to ramp up the tremolo rate. Release the switch and the rate will ramp down to previously set tempo.

Setting the depth knob at 0 and the volume knob above unity creates a clean boost.

2 distinct sounds in 1 compact pedal

I own 2 other tremolo pedals with tap tempo - Dawner Prince Starla and Diamond tremolo - both are very solid, and still have places on other boards. However, I was looking for one in a smaller format, to free up some wiggle room on one of my other boards. I also considered the JHS Kodiak, before going with Monument. The 2 things helped to win the day for the Monument from Walrus Audio. 1st, it has the depth knob on the outer / right side of the controls, allowing me to nudge adjustments to depth with the edge of my foot while playing - JHS' depth knob is in the middle between 2 other knobs, making it impossible (for me, at least) to make adjustments with the edge of my foot while playing.) 2nd, I was intrigued by the ability to switch from standard (bias?) trem to harmonic trem. It's fantastic - at slower speeds, the harmonic trem can provide phaser-like tones, and at faster speeds / greater depth provides a kind of uni-vibe (see what I did there?) Anyway, it makes it a 2-in-1, in my opinion. I kinda wish the tap tempo subdivisions were hard-clicks on the knob, instead of a continuous/smooth turn, because it can be inadvertently bumped/changed. Otherwise, it's a very solid pedal, and serves even more purposes than I'd hoped for.

Cool tremolo

Very nice tremolo, the thing I like the most is that I can choose between harmonic and normal trem, the tap switch is a plus. Only reason I'm giving 4 stars is because I need to turn the volume all the way up to get unity, it would have been nice to be able to boost my volume a bit while the effect is on, other than that, great pedal.
