Comments about Vic Firth Original Rute Rods:

These Rute rods are very tough and high quality. I'm a hard player, in general, and normally destroy other dowel-rod-bundles made by competitors. These sticks stood up to frequent rim shots and playing cymbals on their edges through a solid hour-long acoustic set in an auditorium designed for 500 people - with no mics! I had very minimal dents and light chipping. I highly recommend this product. Note: the base of these rods are very thick and are comparable to matching drumsticks. That being said, they are lightweight and well balanced.
