I'm a long-time user of Hercules stands, and I still love them. BUT, when I needed to get a couple of stands at one time, I decided to see if I could get a decent stand at a somewhat lower price. This seems to be well-made and sturdy.

I was searching for a stable guitar stand for my Taylor 814ce - I had looked at several models based on recommendations given by members of The Acoustic Guitar Forum and was absolutely certain I would be buying a Hecules guitar stand until I happened upon The GS-200 Genisis Guitar Stand on the Sam Ash website. This stand is exactly what I wanted and all for under $30 which included shipping. The shipment from Sam Ash was super fast, the stand was well packaged and I couldn't be happier with this product. Kudos to the members of the Sam Ash team.
Works well and great quality for the price.

GREAT STANDS!!! But, I'll get the "cons" out of the way, because it's really the only thing... And, it's minor... Cons: If you're a Bassist, and you play a 5, 6, or any EXTENDED RANGE Basses, then you might have to "stretch" the Neck Rest to fit your Neck... You might have to check on the Neck Rest every now and then to make sure it doesn't "move" on you. The screw tends to loosen after years of use... And I say "YEARS" because that's how long I've been using them!!! VERY Durable and Compact... I have them in a Baseball Bat Bag, and other than the minor things that I mentioned, I haven't had ANY problems!!! They support my Basses very well, and they're reasonably priced. In fact, I'm going to pick up a couple more today...
