The Carlo Robelli UKB 325 Acoustic Electric Ukulele Bass is truly a groundbreaking short scale (20") bass that produces the same pitches as a standard bass instrument and is tuned in traditional bass tuning, EADG. This bass produces an incredibly big sound despite its diminutive size. The UKB325 boasts a sapele body, and carries a 16-fret fingerboard on a nato neck. The UKB325 can be amplified through an onboard pickup with a 3-band EQ. The Aquila strings provide a great bass feel with balanced tension. The UKB325 is a true joy to play. Other premium features include black tuners and a matte finish. A gig bag is included.

Great little bass, and actually NOT fretless

5

Description says "Fretless" but it isn't. I bought on the basis that it may very well be fretted based on other people's reviews and the picture making it pretty clear it has frets and not just fretline inlays (already have a fretless bass, and ukulele basses are notorious for having slightly spootty intonation anyway). Build quality and appearance is good! It feels the way it should, and it does indeed have that plugged in upright bass sound you can dial in. It does not have a rear access panel for easier string changes like most modern ubasses have BUT that's ok, and the strings definitely will last long (and you know what, they kind of SHOULD have that slightly duller sound anyway, they're big rubber bands after all).

Excellent quality, great value

I am just blown away by the UKB 325 bass ukulele by Carlo Robelli. The quality surpasses that of my Cordoba, which costs twice as much. The frets are perfectly machined and smooth, there are no defects in the wood, perfect sound hole, and a great finish. Even the insides show great attention to detail in the build. The value is remarkable. This bass ukulele features the same Aquila Thundergut strings as the Kala U-Bass with similarly well built planetary tuners. It include batteries for the built-in pickups and digital tuner. The knobs and buttons all seem to be in good working condition. The action is great, the neck finish is smooth to the touch, it can be played with or without an amp.... I'm beyond impressed at this price point. This bass ukulele is the best kept secret online because I couldn't find anything about it before I bought one. Definitely worth the small investment to add to any ukulele collection. *To clarify, yes, my UKB 325 came with frets, as pictured. The description says it is fretless despite this.
