I would purchase again, its lightweight and easy to install

great produc

This is my second unit

This the second unit I have. It works great

Sadly disappointed that this does not meet my needs

Purchased for use in a home recording studio to protect a number of music synthesizers. Wanted to use them to replace a Tripp Lite SMART 1500 LCD only because I wanted to eliminate the fan noise produced by the larger unit. Unfortunately, the smaller SMART 500s, while having no fan, both exhibit a very noticeable buzz that sounds like 60-cycle hum as soon as they are plugged in (without even being turned on.) Nothing I have tried can eliminate or even reduce this annoying buzzing sound. After trading numerous messages with Tripp Lite tech support it appears that this noise is just characteristic of these units (which I find almost impossible to believe) and therefore they are unsuitable for use in my studio. I may just go back to the 1500 and bury it in a closet so the mics don't pick up the fan noise.

Great monitoring products for this unit!

We use these for all of our networking equipment. The monitoring card that you can install is awesome - the proactive monitoring through it, keeps us from having downtime due to a bad battery, which is something that just happens with time, use, and age.

Nice compact rack mounted UPS

Perfect slim rack mounted UPS for PLC system, very reliable.

One of my go to items for an IT closet

With a tight budget, I used three of these in a relay rack for network gear and all of the random stuff that ends up in a IT closet, and three provide a good number of outlets. I have a backup generator on these circuits so I don't need an extended amount of runtime, so these are perfect for the price. I really like the support of the network management card, and will budget to get those next year, as I said, tight budget.

Profesional and on Target.

Profesional and on Target. The response time exceeded expectations.

Beware of the cost of the network card.

I bought the UPS to protect a small rack with 2 POE switches. We have our POE surveillance cameras on one switch and our POE SIP telephones on the other switch. The UPS is compact and reasonably priced. Unfortunately the network card for the UPS costs more than the UPS itself. I can buy a laptop and connect it via USB to the UPS for less money than the cost of a Tripp Lite network card. Something is wrong with that pricing model. The UPS does it's job but I have to hang a laptop off of it to monitor it remotely.

Wish this is the way they used to make them.

I replaced our old UPS for our main servers with this product, I used two since the cost was still less than our older unit was origninally, both of them together take up less space than our older one did with half only the capacity of the power back up. Extremely good value

Great Unit until you need Technical Support when it fails!

We purchase this unit and it worked great for about one month then over a three day weekend the power when out and upon returning the next Monday the unit wouldn't come back online. We reached out to Tripp-Lite Support Over three weeks ago and have been told that we could reset the unit with a hard reset which didn't work. Then we were told that it would be RMA'd and replaced due to a bug in the firmware that won't allow the unit to recharge the batteries if they show Zero charge due to the power outage but that never happened. Now we're being told that new batteries will fix it but have yet to receive a shipment of new batteries to see if indeed that's the case. Great unit when it works but receiving support for it has been tremendously difficult. So we're yet to see any resolve for our issue.
