A fantastic option to own a brand new instrument at a rental price!

Nothing gets a kid more excited or proud of starting up in band than having his or her very own instrument!

At the same price as many rentals, the AS100 series from Benjamin Adams offers an affordable way that any parent can let their child experience the excitement and responsibility of owning their own instrument.

Built with beginners in mind, these attractive instruments are easy to play, ergonomic, and feature a high F# key, deluxe engraving, beautiful gold lacquer, and a comfortable thumbrest.

Great for beginners of all ages!

A case and mouthpiece are included with the outfit.

Things You Will Get:

    Alto Sax
    Case
    Mouthpiece

This is a great alto sax for the price!!

I have been playing the Tenor Sax for about 5 years. My Tenor Sax is a Cannonball. For months, I have been looking for an affordable Alto Sax to use as a back up Sax. Prior to purchasing this Alto Sax, I purchased 2 or 3 affordable, inexpensive Alto Sax from Amazon and Ebay. One example was the Mendini Alto Sax. The quality of these Alto Sax were awful. With one last attempt, I viisited my local Sam Ash Store and I tried out the Benjamin Adams Alto Sax. I was really surprised that the quality was pretty good. It was able to play through all the note, even high F#! Downside, I really wish it would have came with a much better case. My Cannonball came with a beautiful black alligator textured hard case with gold accents.

Expensive in the long run

There are just too many moving parts on saxophone to make them with this flimsy of metal. The rods will go out of alignment a decent amount more than any other entry level saxes. The only saving grace is the price point, hence 2/5 over 1/5. If you have to have a sax and this is your only price point option, take GREAT care of it when playing and even when unpacking and putting away. Other than that it actually doesn't sound too bad. Extended things such as sub tones are way too hard to force the horn to do which is why I can't recommend as a back up horn. Check out the jean baptiste entry levels from sam ash if you can fork out ~$300 more.

Excellent Value

Tried this at the store a few weeks back when they first came out, and I was definitely impressed. I've played other saxes that are $100 more than this one that don't even close in terms of construction and tone. A very good choice if you're looking for an economical alternative to some of the more expensive horns.

Entry Level Sax at Rental Prices

The AS100 Beginner Alto Sax doesn't promise the world, but it doesn't have to. The idea of a rental instrument might put off students, but the look on their faces when presented with a brand new instrument far exceeds the price, which is at rental rates! The sound is great for the value and this instrument is a great choice for parents that are looking for a low cost option with few compromises.

Great Student Sax

5

For around the same price as a year rental, you get a great student instrument. Easy play ability and terrific sound make this a great choice the middle or high school student.

Good Quality, Great Price

The Benjamin Adams line of horns make for great beginning instruments for any students new to the arts or trying out a new horn family, and this saxophone is no exception. With quality comparable to other, more expensive saxophones, the Benjamin Adams allows parents to get their kids, or even themselves, involved in music with a quality horn without breaking the bank. This is a hands-on review from Anthony @ Sam Ash Torrance.

Great price

The AS100 Alto Saxophone is great for anyone that was looking a beginner Sax. The best part is that the price is just above what it would cost to rent one for the school year. A no brainer for any parents that wants to get their kids into the school band but is worried about spending to much money.

Great Back-up or Beginner Sax That Is Easy On Your Pockets!

This is a great starter horn for those just starting out. It comes with ALMOST everything you need to play! If you already have a horn, this is a great back-up for those times when you have to put your horn in the shop or for marching band season (when instruments are susceptible to a lot of abuse).
