The Takamine GB7C was created to accompany the legendary country artist, Garth Brooks, as his main guitar. You'll immediately notice that the typical circular soundhole seen on most acoustic guitars is not present on the GB7C. Instead, it features a very unique, non-symmetrical soundhole which resembles the body of the guitar! The solid cedar top and rosewood back and sides offer a strong midrange and warm tones. Paired with a warm and resonant mahogany neck, you'll get plenty of sustain and clarity, especially through the GB7C's onboard pickup system and preamp.

Strong and Powerful Tones for a County Legend
The GB7C performs well in soft fingerstyle passages as well as aggressive strumming, making it very versatile. With its larger soundhole that mirrors the shape of the guitar, the dreadnought body shape will deliver a very deep low-end punch, silky bright highs, and ample amounts of volume. The solid cedar top and rosewood back and sides bring out plenty of balance and clarity.

Traditional Neck for Maximum Comfort
Adjoined to the body with an ultra-strong dovetail joint, the mahogany neck's tones blend seamlessly with the body's tones. Capped off with a rosewood fingerboard and 20 frets, the GB7C will play as good as it sounds and looks.

Exclusive Takamine Electronics
When you are ready to take the GB7C to the stage, the CT-4BII has got you covered. Takamine's revolutionary palathetic pickup system is completely different compared to traditional acoustic-electric pickups. Since 1978, Takamine has used this system because unlike a piezo pickup, which use a foil-wrapped strip of six piezo crystals that sits under the saddle, the palathetic pickup uses six individual crystals in separate shielding capsules that are typically more than ten times the size of the average piezo crystal. This results in dramatically increased dynamics, allowing the guitarist to strum softly or loudly while still retaining a natural sound, low noise, and full output. The onboard preamp features a built-in tuner and a 3-band EQ to perfectly shape your sound.
