Modeling for people who like real amps
Great pedal. You can tweak like a real amp without sorting through 100's of options like other modeling/simulation units. Responds like a real amp.

Using Iridium for DI recording, it has replaced half my rig. The AC30 is the best modeling of it I have heard yet. I only wish it had Spdif out to avoid extra conversion in the studio. Stellar product and well worth the premium.

Love this pedal! My favorite setting is Chime, cab A (Vox AC30 setting) sounds identical! I prefer using the iridium because I can turn the level and drive higher which helps give me a better tone, without blowing off the roof like you would with a traditional AC30 turned at higher levels. I play at church so this pedal is very ideal. I plug the end of my pedal board into the iridium, then iridium to DI box to run through the PA system. Or at home I connect to 2 Yamaha HS5 speakers. Sounds just as good as a kemper in my opinion, but a fraction of the price. Super easy to use. Can run mono or stereo.

The amps and irs are fantastic, I haven't even tried to load new ones yet I've been so happy with what's already there. It takes pedals well but not quite the same as my tube amp. There is a bit of extra noise that can be mitigated with a lower level playing straight into headphones.

I've been using this for direct recording and it's been a nice addition to my home studio. The nice tube crunch is impressively modeled to simulate the way break up occurs on a real amp. It's nice to get so many flavors of tone and responsiveness without having to make a lot of noise. Perfect for those of with kids and few daytime recording opportunities!

After about a year or so of trying to figure out what I wanted to do next with my guitar rig, the great people at SamAsh kindly helped me figure out that the Strymon Iridium was exactly what I needed for my portable all in one guitar rig. I would recommend the Strymon Iridium to anyone who just want an amp in the box on there pedalboard. Not to mention its a fraction of the cost of a Fender Tube amp ,Vox Tube amp or Marshall Tube amp. And i almost forgot it has ALL 3 OF THOSE AMPS BUILT IN!

This pedal is a great addition to any home studio setup where you want go direct in and be able to dial in tones physically rather than through a DAW. I'm particularly partial to the Vox tone it can get. I run my board into this through Apogee Duet into Logic Pro X. I find getting a good tone easier to dial in than through the sims, and there is a benefit (in my opinion) to the simplicity. I probably won't gig with this, just personal preference, but it is a very welcome addition to making my recording process easier and sounding great.
