The Fender Stories Collection pays tribute to legendary musicians, their beloved modified Fender electric guitars and the extraordinary music they created together.

Eric Johnson already had his 1954 "Virginia" Stratocaster when he recorded Tones* and the Platinum Ah Via Musicom**, groundbreaking albums that made him a hero to music fans and guitarists alike. To this day, Eric continues to release brilliant music, tour constantly and is, to the electric guitar community, a savant and widely followed tastemaker. In 2020, for the first time, Eric's 1954 Virginia Stratocaster is replicated by the Fender Corona Production line in limited numbers. With its rare rift/quartersawn sassafras body, lacquer finish, custom wiring and more, the Eric Johnson 1954 Virginia Stratocaster will thrill players and collectors alike with its distinctive look and exceptional tone.

The Fender Stories Collection Eric Johnson 1954 "Virginia" Stratocaster has a two-piece Sassafras body. A rare tone wood, Sassafras has a distinctive, fine-grained appearance and produces silky tone with focused midrange. The custom maple neck has a comfortable “Soft V”-shape and provides clear tone, while the 12”-radius makes it easier to solo. A period-correct touch, the lacquer finish lets wood breathe while wearing in a distinctive way.

Boasting a custom pickup configuration and custom wiring the Fender Stories Collection Eric Johnson 1954 "Virginia" Stratocaster combines a DiMarzio HS-2 stacked humbucking pickup with a pair of Fender 57/62 pickups, this guitar has Johnson’s unique tone while offering plenty of variety. The middle and neck pickups are out of phase with the bridge pickup, giving you Johnson’s unique “koto” tone in position two. Vintage-style tuning machines offer solid, stable tuning with era-correct style. The Fender Stories Collection Eric Johnson 1954 "Virginia" Stratocaster includes a G&G tweed hardshell case and Certificate of Authenticity.

Worth the price, excellent fender guitar.

An incredible instrument and Stratocaster. After thorough research I decided upon the Eric Johnson signature after reviewing all the specs. This series has excellent quality control and everything from the 12" radius and tone+volume pots to the extra jumbo frets and incredibly high mass tremolo block makes this a very, very usable strat, even if you don't Johnsons' custom shop designed and wound pickups per say. That said, the pickups are incredibly dynamic and have a unique sparkle and clarity the more gain you put into your signal. Feels and sounds exactly like playing a non-relic custom shop instrument at (at least) less than half the price one could easily spend. Highly recommend for any genre. Even if a flattened modern radius isn't your preferred feel I would still recommend purchasing this strat if you feel like you can adapt to it. After all, why not throw a few 5 step bends into your garden variety rhythm playing? Your bandmates will understand...

Wow! Great service and quick
