The RAY25CA is modeled after the iconic StingRay Classic bass. Featuring classic StingRay style, awesome appointments, and a ceramic humbucker, this bass is for anyone who loves vintage low-end vibes.

Classic StingRay Style
With a vintage slab body cut from mahogany, this bass is solidly made for solid sound. The double cutaway style body sports a very unique rounded pickguard. The neck is hard maple and has a 34" scale length. This Stingray also has a 12" radius rosewood fingerboard.

Awesome Appointments
Packed with vintage style and functional features, this bass is made to rock. The fingerboard sports 21 medium frets, with dot inlays. The bridge of this bass is Sterling by Music Man designed and works with the vintage-style open gear tuning machines to keep the string tension perfect and your instrument in tune.

Ceramic Humbucker
This bass thumps, thanks to a Sterling by Music Man ceramic humbucker. The powerful bridge pickup can be adjusted by a 2-band active preamp. You'll have no trouble finding your ideal sound with this awesome bass.

A Music Man By Any Other Name...

I was extremely surprised, relieved, and happy with this bass right out of the box. There's a sticker on top of the cellophane of the pickguard that says the instrument was adjusted and set up at the factory, and after inspecting the bridge's action, intonation, and the neck's fret work, that wasn't false advertising. The bass felt amazing and unbelievable for the price I paid (the only slight thing is the nut needs some touching up due to slightly buzzing open strings - it wasn't too bad, though; very easy to fix). My main worry was the fret work and it couldn't have been better: smooth neck edges, no sharp fret ends, no noticeably high frets, and, best of all, no fret buzz. I haven't played it through my main rig, but as far as I can hear through my headphones the tone is pretty darn close to spot-on Stingray tone as it gets. If you're on the fence with this bass...hop off!! Buy with confidence!!
