For the most part, I was looking for a simple travel guitar that had playable features that I could bring to a gig if I was to go to an open mic night. The other variety of travel guitars that I tried had really bad turning stability and most of the necks were not very comfortable on my hands. So I decided to try it, with a 30 day return warranty, Steinberger's new series of guitars with a quilt top. When I received the guitar in the mail and sought for the first time I thought this was certainly something out of the ordinary for what I would typically play. However; after plugging it in and playing for a little while I found it very easy to get comfortable with. The one thing I would recommend is to change the strings something from either LaBella, or Daddario as they are a lot softer than the Steinberger strings. With any new guitar, I would always recommend you set it up to your taste, but that didn't take as long as it would usually after reading through the directions for fixing the saddles and adjusting their height with the Allen keys provided. I would recommend this guitar for anybody that is interested in having a simple quality instrument that they wouldn't be afraid to put in an overhead bin on the plane if they travel as I do.
