Designed by Fender and made by Squier, this Classic Vibe '70s Telecaster Thinline is an admirable homage to the decade that saw the Telecaster's legacy expand. Showcasing a Squier Thinline build, radical '70s features, and dual Fender-designed Wide Range humbuckers, this Tele is an awesomely affordable option for vintage Tele lovers and players who just want a great axe, at a great price.

Squier Thinline Build
The Telecaster design exudes vintage vibes. There's something about its unique single-cutaway style that makes it memorable and seemingly timeless. Made from soft maple, this Telecaster body sports a semi-hollow design with a single F-hole, and is finished in gloss polyurethane. Its maple neck is cut into a "C" shape for a smooth comfortable feel. The maple fingerboard has 21 narrow tall frets, as well as dot inlays.

Radical '70s Features
Much of the allure of this Telecaster is in the finer features which afford it a vintage style. For instance, the neck is finished in a tinted gloss urethane, giving it an old-school aesthetic. Its large pickguard stretches all the way down to the bottom corner of the lower bout. This guitar also has 1970s inspired headstock markings, vintage-style tuners, and a 6-saddle strings-through-body Tele bridge.

Dual Fender-Designed Wide Range Humbuckers
This Classic Vibe '70s Telecaster Thinline has powerful dual Fender-designed Wide Range humbucker pickups. The Wide Range humbuckers create an awesome, powerful, bassy tone in classic Tele style. With the three-way switch you can choose neck or bridge pickup, or combine the two for a very cool sound. This Tele Thinline also has two control knobs: one volume and one tone.

Wow! I love this guitar!

My first Squier... and I am very impressed with the quality and workmanship. This thing is beautiful (3 color sunburst one) and I see zero defects or flaws. I just turned her up and bam, everything was perfect. The intonation is *spot on* - very impressed. The neck has that classic Fender sort of glossy stain on it - looks fantastic. The neck is the perfect size for my average sized hands. The frets feel great and seem as well crafted as my higher end guitars. The guitar sounds good - but if there is one thing that could be better it would be the pick-ups... they aren't bad, but they are not as articulate and bold as they could be - but that is all a matter of taste. They look cool - I love the silver covers with "Squier" imprinted on them. Anyway, this one is a definite keeper at a great price. Good job Squier.

Great vintage sounding instrument

I loved it. Great with distortion. Plays almost anything. Very versatile.

Simply Amazing

I've had many guitars over the years, Fender, Gibson, Epiphone. Picked one of these up at Sam's a month ago and can't put it down. Best all around guitar I've ever had. Good for everything but metal, which I don't do. The lightest and most comfortable guitar I have ever had. It was great out of the box, but I put a hardtail bridge on it which makes that wonderful ash hollowbody sound even better. The smooth maple neck is so easy to navigate and an absolute joy to play. My ES-339 is now my backup. Can't justify spending money on a name when "little brother" is this good. I'm 64 & remember the originals. In some respects this Squier is better.

Great value, but be prepared to do some tweaking. Mine arrived in great shape; however, when running it through its paces I noticed it fretted out at the 15th fret. Also, the nut slots were not cut deep enough. These were easy fixes and now plays very well and sounds great. I may consider replacing the pickups with Lollars which have become sort of the "gold standard" for wide range humbuckers. Bone nut, maple body and neck...this Squier is a lot of bang for the buck!
