A decent place to start but need some work
first off, Sam ash was amazing getting me this guitar fast and at a low price – thank you. This is the first SquierI bought in a while that didn't immediately put a smile on my face. It's got decent basic tones but I think especially the middle pick up is going to need an upgrade. I'm pretty sure the nut is not cut correctly as the intonation is pretty screwed on the first few frets. It's pretty bad on the low strings that make it very difficult to play even if you set action low. other than that pretty classic Strat sounds, really nice humbucket sounds with overdrive and the neck pick up can be really warm with overdrive too. The tremolo stays in tune pretty decently for a non-locking system. it's a heavy guitar which I kind of like but it's just going to take some getting used to as I've been playing my Squier classic 50s vibe tele Which was pretty much a knock out right out of the box. I am used to the tele's slightly stiffer response so my fingers are getting used to the strat. I'd call it a seven out of 10 and some upgrades are definitely in order but I planned on that
