Throwing it back to one of the most notable decades in music history, this Classic Vibe '70s Stratocaster has a lot to offer. Featuring a solid Squier construction, vintage '70s style, and authentic Fender-designed Alnico Single-Coil pickups, this model is for any guitarist who wants a great vintage Strat at an awesome price.

Solid Squier Construction
The Strat has been a staple of the guitar world decade after decade. This particular model harks back to the style of the 1970s, while still maintaining the timeless Strat build under the hood. Designed by Fender and shaped from poplar into classic Strat double cutaway design, this Strat is finished in gloss urethane. Its 25.5" scale "C" shape neck is made from maple and is capped by an Indian laurel fretboard with 21 narrow tall frets and dot inlays.

Vintage '70s Style
To add that '70s flare, this guitar sports a number of great design choices and appointments. The oversized 1970s headstock showcases period-inspired markings and vintage style tuners. The tuners, like the rest of the hardware, are nickel-plated. There's also a 6-saddle vintage-style synchronized tremolo bridge, a famous vintage Strat feature. Even the neck has a vintage tinted gloss finish for more of that boisterous '70s vibe.

Authentic Fender-Designed Alnico Single-Coil Pickups
To make this Squier special, the Classic Vibe '70s Stratocaster sports 3 Fender-designed Alnico Single-Coil pickups. With five-way switching, you can find the best pickup combination for your style. Blues players may prefer the neck pickup while rockers may like the sound of the bridge with a little distortion. The best thing about the Strat is its versatility, and how you play it is up to you.

Very Impressed by the look , feel and sound!

I only buy from Sam Ash

Bought a stunning natural wood Squire guitar. It was shipped promptly and arrived very well packed and in perfect condition. Also, the customer service is great! Sam Ash should be your first choice.

Good price point but left wanting more

So the price point got me interested in this guitar. It arrived and it played OK, but I was looking for an instrument that might stay with me for 10+ years. There was a manufacturing flaw on the back of the neck, so I returned it and went for the player series strat.

Great backup guitar. Fun for home and small venue playing.

This is my backup guitar for when my Fender Telecaster is being worked on, etc. I love the look of the instrument but the pickups are definitely not the quality of the Fender Player Tele I have.

You won't regret it

This is my second guitar. It sounds a lot more expensive than it is. It came in perfect shape other than needing a couple adjustments. Nothing you can't do in under 15 mins.

No regrets, none whatsoever!

For the money you will not find a better playing guitar within this genre. Definitely high on the list for those in the early stages of learning to play or somebody looking to purchase a Stratocaster on a tight budget.

Great Price on a very good guitar

Good but not great

It's about what I expected from reading other reviews. Needs someone to go through the set up and get the neck correct. Arrived with either over drilled holes on the back cover or they were just stripped. Also have 1 stripped screw on the tremolo claw. Other than that I'm happy.

Amazingly average

Okay, here's the deal on what I got. I'll do my own pros and cons. PROS: Pretty darn nice craftsmanship, better than expected. Neck straight as an arrow. Action very nice! Sound very nice on settings 3 and 5!! Sustain from pick ups better than expected and up there with non-American Fender strats. The tremolo bar/bridge work nicely. Some folks may say bar is too stiff, but I like the feel and response. That's an easy fix if you want to use less pressure. Cons: Bridge pick up not really useable. Way too thin. Settings 2 and 4, which are combination pick ups sound like a deep muddy holes of yuk. Not a gradual increase or decrease in tone as they should be. Summary: If middle and neck pick up settings were not very pleasing I would have sent this back. I accept the fact that I have a two setting guitar. There is no tone control for the bridge pick up which is not uncommon, but that eliminates that particular pick up from being used..at least for me. For the money, it's a fair deal. Not a great deal, but a fair deal. The great tones from settings 3 and 5 along with great, easy play will keep this guitar in my stable...not too mention it's good looks!
