I'm a career musician, mainly keys and guitars, but once in a while, the need to play bass arises. I might be asked to fill in at a church or I might be recording something simple enough for me to render a decent part and move on. Recently, the need for a good bass arose, and I did some shopping. The Classic Vibe Jazz Bass was so affordable through Sam Ash that I really couldn't resist. And given the fact that it's not my main axe, the money (under $300!) was justifiable. The day after I bought the bass, I used it on a recording session with a famous Nashville singer. We were trying to get basic demos done without a band, and she insisted I record with the Jazz Bass. I hadn't had a chance to get it set up or anything, but wow- the INTONATION WAS GREAT! I know the Classic Vibe uses less expensive parts, but the PICKUPS SOUNDED GREAT in the track, and the NECK WAS EASY TO PLAY! I also have a Classic Vibe Telecaster that I play regularly with Red Dirt Boys, Emmylou Harris' backing band. CLASSIC VIBE FENDERS ARE FANTASTIC FOR THE MONEY! I can't say enough good about the Jazz Bass!!
