Sam Ash joins the world in mourning the passing of blues legend BB King. The guitarist, along with his fabled Gibson “Lucille” was known for his stinging vibrato and economic riffs. He quickly rose up on the blues scene where he was revered by the British blues rockers of the 1960’s and would play to sold out crowds at rock halls such as the Fillmore in NY and San Francisco. If anyone found the joy in the blues, it was BB King. His spirit and his energy was inspirational to thousands of fans around the world.
Eric Clapton posted a moving tribute to King on his Facebook page, describing their friendship and telling his fans to pick up a copy of Kings’ classic “Live At The Regal” LP. We agree with Slowhand – put it on, turn it up and remember the King.
