United by their amazing craftsmanship, this year’s Martin lineup features affordable models for intermediate players, as well as the cream of the crop in premier acoustic craftsmanship. This concert sized model brings the beauty of martin to an affordable price point. The body is built from HPL figured mahogany. It’s decorated with a new Style 28 mother-of-pearl pattern fingerboard inlay and classy ring rosette. For superior amplified sound, this guitar comes stocked with Fishman MX electronics.
This new X model is essentially a reimagined 00X1AE. Its Grand Concert body has figured mahogany HPL back and sides, with a Sitka spruce top. The classically beautiful wood combination provides signing highs and strong lows, with a focused midrange. For aesthetics, you’ll find mother-of-pearl rosette and fingerboard inlays. The Performing Artist neck gives you a smooth feel from headstock to body, while Fishman MX electronics let your playing be heard loud and clear.
000-28E Modern Deluxe
Vintage vibes created with modern technology make for one heck of an acoustic. The sound from this guitar is amazing. It’s propelled by a Sitka spruce Vintage Tone System (VTS) top, a dovetail neck joint with natural protein glue construction, Liquidmetal bridge pins, and a composite carbon fiber bridgeplate. The 000-28E is adorned with flamed maple binding, glitzing gold frets and open-gear tuners, a unique 1930s-style script logo inlaid in pearl on the headstock. Top it all off with supreme Fishman Aura VT Blend electronics and you have a premier acoustic.
This Auditorium sized model is the result of reengineering aspects of the 000X1AE. It has a Sitka spruce top and figured mahogany HPL body. A select hardwood fingerboard makes the Performing Artist neck wonderfully playable, and the corresponding select hardwood bridge has increased the power of this instrument’s tonal transfer from strings to body. Fishman MX electronics complete this wonderfully crafted 000.
Ideal for professional classical players, this Martin will take your fingerstyle to the next plateau. Build in the Auditorium shape, the top is made from Sitka spruce and gloss finished, while the body is satin-finished mahogany. The build gives you a bright treble response. The nylon string splendor of the Martin 000C12-16E comes with Fishman Matrix VT Enhance NT1 electronics, for faithful sonic amplification.
Another excellent X model, the 00L-X2E is a Grand Concert sloped shoulder built from mahogany HPL and topped with Sitka Spruce. For the modest price, Martin still gives you what you’re looking for from them—clean, classic looks, with smooth tone and playability. Genuine mahogany is used for constructing the body, which is supported by scalloped X bracing. It’s topped with Sitka spruce, for delightful tone. European flamed maple binding, gold frets, gold-open gear tuners, plus a unique 1930s-style script logo inlaid in pearl on the headstock make this guitar truly Martin quality. Fishman Aura VT Blend electronics complete this gorgeous acoustic.
Capped at just 2,020 produced, Martin has released this limited edition version of the historic 14-fret D-18, which was introduced way back in 1934. Modeled after that timeless acoustic, this D-18E sports a genuine mahogany body with Sitka spruce top, alongside reimagined Standard Series appointments. But what makes it really special is the addition of East Indian rosewood for the headplate, fingerboard, bridge, and heelcap. It also has incredible LR Baggs Anthem electronics so every tone is captured and conveyed perfectly.
D-28E Modern Deluxe
The new Modern Deluxe dreadnoughts have been shaped up into bold and beauteous acoustic instruments. Sporting a Sitka spruce VTS top, over East Indian Rosewood, the smooth, sparkling tone emanates evenly from the body of this D-28. The appointments are next level, including ultra-modern titanium truss rod, Liquidmetal bridge pins with red dots, and a composite carbon fiber bridgeplate — which adds volume to the guitar without adding weight. The D-28 Modern Deluxe encompasses next level performance and recording capability, thanks to Fishman Aura VT Blend electronics.
Love Rosewood? Mahogany? How about Massacar? Lucky for you, this Martin comes in all three. The body of the DCX2E is classic dreadnought, with a cutaway, allowing you to play all the way up the Performing Artist neck. New Mother-of-Pearl pattern inlays adorn the fingerboard and encircle the soundhole, upping the aesthetic. Each DCX2E is outfitted with Fishman MX electronics for supreme amplified sound.
Available in either figured mahogany or spruce HPL top, atop an HPL figured mahogany body. New Style 28 Mother-of-Pearl pattern inlays decorate the fingerboard and rosette. A Performing Artist neck with High-Performance neck taper gives it a better feel from top to bottom, as you play across the Richlite fingerboard. There’s also a Richlite bridge.
