X marks the spot! D’Addario has done it again with their recent line of XT Strings, available for a wide variety of guitar-family instruments. XT strings are packaged for easy selection, and are treated in D’Addario‘s Farmingdale, NY factory with a resistant coating that extends the life of your strings, keeps your sound clear and precise, and maintains the clean feel of your instrument.
Benefits of a Coated String without a Coated Sound
Each string is coated with a protective, anti-corrosive treatment that makes the string more resistant to changing weather conditions, tarnish, hand sweat, and dirt accumulation. All strings in the pack – from NY Steel, high carbon steel, plain steel, core wire, and XL wrap wire – are treated. The strings are packaged in a thick, zip-sealed bag made with VCI technology, so once you take a string out, the remaining strings will stay fresh as new for when you need them.
Different Alloys to Choose From
Players can choose from an assortment of alloys tailored to their instrument type including phosphor bronze, 80-20 bronze, stainless steel, nickel-plated steel, composite with silver-plated copper, and Pro-Arte nylon to name a few. The XT treatment preserves special wiring and plating on any string type, so you can get the exact sound you’re looking for.
Something for Everyone
D’Addario XT strings are available for all of the main acoustic and electric guitar-family instruments including guitar, bass, mandolin, and banjo, as well as classical guitar. You’ll be able to easily find what you need with the new and simple packaging designs, featuring clearly marked flags to indicate the string type, alloy, and gauge range. The gauge of each individual string is also listed on the back. XT string sets come in a variety of gauges, from super light to medium and high, to suit the needs of all players.
