Breedlove Discovery Series: Quick Look

We’re taking a look at the Discovery Series by Breedlove Guitars. Breedlove’s entry-level guitars, the Discovery Series was created specifically to support newcomers to the instrument. Featuring the same quality control as all other Breedlove instruments, the Discovery Series guarantees beginners an unmistakable Breedlove vibe with distinctively crafted sound.

Who is Breedlove?

Breedlove Guitars officially launched at NAMM in 1992 with three body shapes and five models. Experimenting with innovative designs, unique materials, and distinctive aesthetics, the goal of Breedlove was always to build acoustic instruments unlike any other. 2004 saw the company move some production overseas, while continuing the hand-craftsmanship in Bend, Oregon, in order to enable a broader range of musicians to afford the unique Breedlove designs and sound. Today, Breedlove is a key brand in the Two Old Hippies Guitars wheelhouse and continues to deliver quality instruments. From entry-level imports to high-end custom-built acoustics, Breedlove has a guitar for everyone.

Beginner Friendly Design

Designed with beginners in mind, the Breedlove Discovery Series guitars feature a narrower nut width and thinner neck profile, making for a pleasant playing experience. With a dovetail neck joint, mahogany neck with Indian rosewood fingerboard, graphite nut and saddle, and 25 1/2″ scale, Discovery series guitars are entry-level instruments with high quality construction and components. Discovery CE models will come equipped with a factory installed Fishman T pickup with built-in tuner. You can also find some features on Discovery models that are normally reserved for higher end instruments such as a radiused fretboard and pinless bridge. Every instrument is 100% set-up and quality checked in Bend, Oregon with a Limited Lifetime Warranty. All models come with a gig bag.
