Holiday time is here and Sam Ash is home for the holidays to many great instruments! The perfect gift for any beginner or a great addition to any home, you can practice and play all of your favorite wintry songs, learn at your own pace step by step, or play and sing along to carols side by side with friends and family, all on a Yamaha portable keyboard. Here are a few you can spread holiday cheer with this season:

Yamaha PSR-E263 Portable Keyboard

Packed like snow into the Yamaha PSR-E263 are 400 high-quality voices, 130 auto accompaniment styles, and a downloadable song book of sheet music scores to built-in songs. An easy-to-follow 9-step lesson function is provided from the Yamaha Educational Suite, as well as Duo Mode which splits all 61 keys evenly so two people can play together on the same keyboard. The player can plug in their portable music player to hear any song they like through the keyboard’s built-in speakers, and play along like they’re part of the recording. Compact and lightweight, this keyboard can run off an AC adapter or 6 AA batteries when access to an outlet is limited.

The PRS-E-W300 will bring your festivities to life with 574 different voices, 154 preset songs, and 76 touch response keys. Also featuring Duo Mode, a backlit LCD screen, and AC adapter/battery powering options, it adds extra sonic capability to the mix with 48-note polyphony so even more notes can be played without drop-outs, and USB to HOST connectivity with MIDI and audio transfer so only one cable is needed to connect to music-making software. Expand the player’s interactive experience with free educational apps on their iOS device or computer, and have them play along with on-board lesson functions like Touch Tutor.

Yamaha PSR-E463 Portable Keyboard

Lift someone’s spirits with the sonic joy of the PRS-E463. 758 voices, 48-note polyphony, the XG Lite Voice Library, and adjustable touch response comprise the heart of this 61-key, lightweight keyboard. Tons of compatible apps plus an accompanying song book are available for download on Yamaha’s website. Quick Sampling tools can be used through the Aux-in to play samples of your keyboardist’s favorite songs from an external source in Normal, Loop, or One-shot pitch mode. They can make music like a DJ by laying down a beat, experimenting with the Groove Creator function (35 grooves), adjusting their melody, and adding in effects including DSP, Reverb, Chorus, Master EQ, and Harmony. Then, they can save any creation they’re happy with to a USB device and share their tunes. Maybe they’ll compose the next holiday hit!

Yamaha PSR-EW410 Portable Keyboard

Like our previous pick, it has a winter wonderland of 758 voices, 48-note polyphony, Quick Sampling, Groove Creator, Aux-in connective capability, USB recording, and a plethora of compatible apps. However, this model steps it up a notch with 76 keys to expand the octave range and in turn, the player’s creative pallet. You’ll also find assignable real-time control knobs, DSP effects, and a pitch blend function on the panel to add to the blizzard of fun this keyboard brings.
