Sam Ash is currently the only online retailer who still has these basses available new. So I will say this to any prospective buyers. This is a fantastic bass if and only if you're OK with a nasally, mid-rangey tone (which is arguably a signature of Spector basses). If you're looking for a warm, P-bass neck type of tone, look elsewhere. The Spector Legend works great for funk (great clarity for slapping and popping) and extreme metal styles (Meshuggah etc.) because it cuts through the mix so well. The low B string also sounds good, and well-integrated with the other strings. Still, I wish this thing had a mid knob on it. You can only control bass and treble. Sometimes, even with mids turned all the way down on my amp, it's still too mid-rangey for my liking.
