Best bass mic I've heard
This is a great microphone which I'm using to mike my bass cabinet. It sounds fantastic. #sweepstakes
No doubt. One of the most kick drum mic.
I use this product for home recording, and it is working great! Is super dynamic, does exactly what I need it to, and exactly what the associate said it would do :) I love it, and would highly recommend this!
This microphone projects the bass drum extremely well. Best go to microphone for bass drums
I use this miking a Gallien-Krueger 212 NEO II cab and use a GK 550 fusion amp. I place the mic about 2 inches in front of the edge of the 12" speaker. Good lows, a little less mids, and not much highs that I can hear. I run through a sub with 2 15" so my FOH guy says it's OK for that ( 40 - 200 Hz). My issue is my amp is bi-amped internally, so I can either mic the lows, or mic the mids/highs. I can't mike both unless I use two mics. So I still have to run a DI from the amp into the house for the mids and highs, a little more work for him. If you know the specs for your bass amp check out the DI (if you have one) first. You may not need this. Or you may need two. If you do not have a DI then this will put you into the subs. If you play jazz or do slapping, this may not be the best mic for those. Still satisfied but I have a good FOH guy who makes it work.

Whether you are using this mic for stage or studio, you will love the clear, punchy sound this mic delivers. A kick drum with a Beta 52A in front of it sounds ten times better than anything I have heard. There is definitely a good reason you see a lot of professional artists using this mic for their recording and live setups. It has handled high SPL's and many diverse situations better than any other kick drum mic I have ever tried out.
