Wow.. just wow!
I am floored. With a collection of guitars from passive Pups to actives, I waited way to long to order blackouts. Installed them myself the day I got them (haven't soldered anything in years). These Pups have great output and more of an edge to the tone than EMG's. Distorted they don't bleed together as much as others, cleans are nice and crisp. A few words of advice: If you are not good at using an iron to install, have a pro do it. It took a while, but I did it right the first time. If you have 2 vol, 1 Tone, download the schematic from SD's website, the printed copy with the pups doesn't include that diagram. If you already have active pups, just plug and play if the connections to your old pups are 3 pin. The pots on the set can also be a tight fit to factory bodies. Keep a file handy. So far, I don't see a way to coil split. Doing some research on that. Happy Shredding!
