Keith Merrow is an incredibly heavy, technical player with a sound that's original and heartfelt, while remaining utterly brutal and true to his traditional metal roots. Schecter had to craft a guitar to keep up with his playing - and it did. This guitar features a swamp ash body with a flamed maple top, a 5-piece maple/wenge neck with carbon fiber reinforcement rods, and Fishman Fluence Keith Merrow Custom Humbucker pickups. This guitar is for fans of Keith Merrow and anyone who wants to be at the top of the 7-string game.

Swamp Ash Body with a Flamed Maple Top
The swamp ash topped flamed maple is visible through the finish, showing wood patterns as intricate as Keith's playing. The top of the body is contoured flat with a bevel edge, and neck-thru construction with ultra-access allows easy high fret playing.

5-Piece Maple/Wenge Neck with Carbon Fiber Reinforcement Rods
Wenge wood is a dense, durable hardwood from West Africa. The unique wood, combined with maple and reinforced with carbon fiber rods, composes the 5-piece, 26.5" ultra-thin "C" neck. The Keith Merrow signature sports an ebony fretboard with 24 X-jumbo frets, adorned with glow in the dark side markers and offset reverse circle inlays.

Fishman Fluence Keith Merrow Custom Humbucker Pickups
Keith Merrow is a visionary guitarist. As a passive pickup player, Keith has become accustomed to the bold way that a passive pickup responds to the initial pick attack. This, when combined with Fluence's up-front dynamics and extended frequency response, allowed Keith to finally voice a pickup free of the limitations of traditional pickup designs. The electronics have straight-forward controls: one volume knob (push/pull) and one there way selector switch.
