Best buy for expanding Home Studio!

With the addition of a lot of outboard gear to my Home Studio, I was quickly running out of I/O, and constantly falling over equipment to plug in various signal chains. I've used plenty of patch-bays before, and have previously worked in a Professional Studio. I did my research and came across the Samson S-Patch Plus. Found a great deal at Sam Ash, and pulled the trigger. It's been racked for a few weeks now, and has not disappointed! Why did I wait so long? I find myself being more creative, more quickly. Trying signal chains that I would have dreaded before. (Either I did not have the right cables or they did not reach etc.) The switching on the front has to be the "why didn't I think of this?" question of the last decade! Having Normal, Half-normal and Through Mode operation with the flip of a switch is AMAZING! It's built extremely well from what I can see and feel, and only time will tell with patch-bays. In the mean time, I'm going to pick up another! Love this thing.

Nice patch bay, excellent quality

Having the switches up front makes all the difference in the world (unlike some other brands out there - what sense does it make to have the switches in a location that is only accesible when the unit is pulled out of your rack?!). The extra $[...] for this unit is well worth it to have the switches up front. This is the lowest costing patch bay with the switches up front I've been able to find.
