I mainly use this mic for podcasting but it does have the range/freq-response and sensitivity to be used as a vocal mic. The Meteor is a great "gateway" recording microphone and a very affordable choice to get your feet wet. Very satisfied with my purchase!

Big bang, Little buck

I was purchased this microphone as a gift from my wife after reading reviews online and watching numerous videos about this mic. I was very surprised at the quality of this microphone for the price. I would dare to say that I enjoy using this mic more than I enjoyed using my Samson C01. Just the pure sensitivity and accuracy of this mic amazes me. I remember for my C01 I would have to be almost right on top of the mic to get good sound, whereas with this mic I could stand a few feet away and still get awesome response. This is my first USB powered microphone and I have to say that I am impressed. I use this mic for vocals only and I am seriously happy with it. The only thing I think that could be better would be if the mic had built in volume control for the microphone itself, also if the headphone jack was on the front rather than the rear of the mic, but that's just a preference of mine.
