This stand does the job. We mainly use it for a presenter/pastor/speaker to put their laptop or notes or drinks on. the taller it gets, the more wobbly it seems, but its pretty sturdy. i wish it could go taller and had a little more weight to it.
It holds my laptop in place perfectly! The salesman on the live chat helped me pick the right product.
I'm using it for both a Push 2 and Maschine MK3. Does the job.
I have 2 of these. One works great as a laptop stand. The other works perfectly as a slim music stand. If your traditional music stand sinks down, this one won't. If your traditional music stand doesn't stay in position where you need it, this one will. There's a secure, tight knob under the desk for securing it nice and tight and the pin at the base keeps it from sinking. Even without the pin, it holds weight well. It comes with a sticky pad for the desk, but you don't need it. The lip at the bottom of the desk is about 5/8", which is less than ~1" on a regular music stand, but it's plenty for an iPad or music book. It's more lightweight than a traditional music stand and it's more stable too.

Did a bunch of research and wanted this one because of the low tripod leg thing it has going on. Doesn't take up a lot of space. Many variations on height - including utilizing the legs wider or more narrow (narrower is way less sturdy!). The thing is a bit wobbly when fully extended. Good for home. Def need sandbags on a stage or club.
Perfect for my home practice room. Perfect my limited space since I don't have the space for a music computer table. This sits next to my music stand easily. The stand is very well made and should last a very long time.
The gel thing is really cool. I wanted to give it more then 4 stars buy there is one small thing... At it's lowest setting, it's to high. I have mine just to the right of my Lazyboy and I have to lean forward and reach up to get to the keyboard. If it was about 7 inches lower, I'd still have to lean forward but the laptop could be adjusted to be even with the arm of the chair. I DID say it was a small thing. But it's sturdy and a good value.

First one is for my notebook PC (not a tablet but full 12.5" Lenovo) 2nd one is used for beat box, mixer/recorder, etc Big plus is the "sticky mat" things stay put even if attached cord(s) get pulled on. When mat gets dusty or pet fur just run under tap and good as new. Pin to lock height a must for heavier loads

Mostly used for notebook PC. Used for monitor speaker with no pole mount stands at ear height. Tripod adjusts from large very stable size to smaller for tight space. Height adjustment from sitting to standing use. Sticky pad is great and dog hair rinses off in warm water like new again. I was using a $35 good music stand until it dumped my PC onto the floor. Samson has nice tight angle adjust and with sticky pad won't dump my PC ever. Locking pin for clunker notebook not needed for pad/tablet
