I was nervous at first about buying this because i had no knowledge on how to use it, but as of now it's easier then ever, i would definitely recommend this to a beginner. I use mine on a MacBook Air, on the app Garbageband, its great Thanks!

I really enjoy having this in my studio for some straight forward sound modelling. Its size allows me to place it right in front of my PC keyboard. I can comfortably sound sculpt and use my computer keyboard and when not in use its easy to stow away. Its looks may be deceiving as it looks like a toy but it handles like a champ. I was completely surprised having never used it prior to buying it. I also really enjoy the terminated pots vs those horrible endless rotary encoders everyone is incorporating. At first I was skeptical about the pitch and mod ribbons. Now for me it feels so natural that it would have been wrong any other way. The drum pads are nice but I usually don't use them. I recommend this to anyone with limited space or as a secondary, for a side system as I use it.

This MIDI keyboard is great for musicians and composers who are limited in available space or travel frequently. It is easy to bring out while on a bus or airplane, sitting on your couch or in a park with your laptop, or if you have a small desk as your home studio workspace. The mini keys respond well, and the pads and knobs are nice to have as well. One of the best features is the fact that it has touch strip pitch and modulation wheels, something that is not normally found on mini controllers like this. The knobs are butter smooth! Though the fullsize Graphite is the bigger brother with more features, Samson got the knobs better! If you compare this unit to other mini usb controllers, Samson wins hands down again and again. This product is a real winner and actually super usable in any DAW that supports MIDI mapping.
