The new SPDS 30 is a great option for the gig'ing drummer to add a huge array of dynamic auxiliary percussion and sounds to his or her live set up. This pad allows you to leave the bags of cowbells, shakers, maracas, wood blocks, tambourines and all their associated mounts, holders, shelves and mic'ing gear at home, while adding such sounds as 808's, claps, and symphonic sounds such as kettle drums or marimbas, seamlessly to your live shows. The easy pair of 1/4 outputs makes running the audio into the house PA a snap, while still allowing volume control and sound tweaking to be done at the pad. This is the most obvious choice for a dyed in the wool acoustic purist to simplify her or her live load out and mix in some purely electronic and synthetic sounds to the mix. The Roland SPD 30 is a state of the art percussion pad that is chock full of features. The ability to edit every sound and put separate effects on the pads really made the pad flexible and gave everyone that uses it the opportunity to have their own sound.
