Piano portable a dream to have!
The Roland FP-30 is one fantastic modern digital piano. I can see players of all skill levels thoroughly enjoying playing this instrument. For the price, I don't think there's anything better. Comes close to sound and feel of digital pianos costing way more. I've had this keyboard for 1 day, have only played around with it for a few hours, and already feel inclined to leave a very positive review. I would consider myself a semi-beginner on the keys, but I can play some tunes decently. If you want a compact, modern digital piano, with a very realistic sound and feel, for a great price ...don't over think this. Choose the FP-30. I was comparing this with others in its price range. Yamaha P125 (eh, just ok), Kawai ES110 (almost as nice as the Roland), but the FP-30 was my choice, and I couldn't be happier. The library of voices is great. The weight of the keys seems on the slight-heavy side, but not too much, and personally, is my preference. Some other reviewers have mentioned the complex/confusing method for selecting sounds as a semi-negative issue, but that's just a learning curve that requires actually reading the manual. After using the keyboard for a while, you probably get more familiar with your favorite sounds and the specific keys to recall become a no-brain'er. Also, the lack of a dedicated Line Out jack. I have a separate PA system, and I used the headphones jack for the Line Out and it worked flawlessly. The foot pedal the keyboard comes with kinda sucks, so for $20 more, get a better, more piano-like sustain pedal. For $699, this is a fantastic value. What an amazing digital piano, especially for this price. I really can't imagine needing to upgrade to something more expensive down the road. This one is that good! Highly recommended.
I am a rank amateur making noise on keyboards. I played an inexpensive keyboard for a number of years. I decided to step up to the next level in keyboard sound and spent a great deal of time researching different products. I kept coming back to the Roland keyboards, but their price was out of reach. I finally found a great deal for an FP-30 from Sam Ash on ebay. I decided to take the plunge and have not looked back. Sam Ash promptly delivered the product in excellent shape. I have no complaints and would recommend both the Roland keyboard and Sam Ash to musicians wishing to upgrade their capabilities.
This piano sounds amazing. The feel on the wrists and hands are so close to a real piano its crazy. The sound quality of this is so nice, I love playing piano on it. It has a couple of different sounds that sound amazing and for the price it is hard to beat. for gigging, although it is a little big, with any gigbag it'll be a piece of cake to go to and from Gigs. Love this piano
The Roland FP30 is an amazing digital piano. The hammer action is a little heavier than most digital pianos in the same price range which is great and the option to connect to garageband via Bluetooth makes recording so easy. The SuperNATURAL engine really helps make this sound like an acoustic piano.
This is an overall great piano. Feel is always subjective, but the weighted action feels good to me, not too light. Lots of easy to access controls once you get the hang of it, however, the layout of controls is a little awkward at first. Good selection of sounds also. Splitting and accessing other features is easy enough once you understand the layout. My favorite things: great speaker system for a small/light piano. Much better bass than many others. I also really like the e-piano sounds in here. Least favorite things: For the price, I wish it included a normal sustain pedal, not the cheap plastic one. Also, the volume buttons are awkward to use. Would have much preferred a regular knob or slider.
These digital pianos are the best in class for the market. Fun to play and easy to use. Check it out today!

The FP30 continues Roland's legacy of producing excellent digital pianos. It has a great feeling key bed, making it perfect for anyone about to learn to play piano. The easy access to all the keyboards functions with the buttons on the top left are a great feature, making it far easier to navigate than some of it's competitors.
