From his early years as co-founder of Alembic Inc. and founder of Turner Guitars, Rick Turner has been building and modifying basses for some of the most well-know and discerning players in the industry such as John Entwistle, Stanley Clarke, Jack Casady, and John Paul Jones, and today, the Model 1 Bass continues in this tradition offering a broader tonal spectrum than most basses. Featuring an exclusive, extremely versatile electronics package, the Model 1 Bass is also extremely comfortable to play and visually pleasing with beautiful appointments that stand out in a crowd. This is a high-performance instrument suitable for all players who want quality sound, playability, and that "something" you aren't able to get anywhere else.

Exclusive and Extremely Versatile Electronics
Rick is known for pursuit of tonal versatility which is evident in the electronic package included with this Model 1 Bass. Turner's in-house built "Hot Humbucker" rotating pickup, D-TAR Eclipse preamp, parametric EQ, and piezo pickup deliver tonal versatility that enables players to produce thunderous yet clear low end, warm midrange, and bell-tone like highs suitable for driving funk to an almost acoustic warmth.

Easy and Comfortable Playability
Utilizing the body design of the Model 1 guitar (think Lindsey Buckingham) provides an extremely comfortable instrument. Add the 1.5" nut width and 32" scale length with a cozy C shaped neck profile and you have a bass perfectly designed for long hours on stage or in the studio.

Beautifully Built with a Host of Features
The Rick Turner Model 1-CP-STD bass is a head turning beauty. Features include top bound natural finished mahogany body, maple set neck carbon fiber reinforced neck, an ipe fingerboard, and a Rick Turner designed hand-carved ipe archtop type bridge with piezo pickup.
