Shinedown's own Zach Myers and Paul Reed Smith Guitars have closely worked together on a signature model that has resulted in in a beautiful semi-hollow guitar with natural and distinct tones. A resonant, semi-hollow mahogany body with maple top sports a single f-hole on the upper bout which makes for an eye-catching look. This guitar doesn't just look good, it sounds and plays incredible as well. The thicker mahogany neck has a vintage feel to it which is great for chording while the 245 "S" humbuckers provide darker, dirtier tones. Whether you're using it for hard rock riffs like Zach or playing the cleanest of melodic runs, the PRS SE Zach Myers will not disappoint with its versatile sounds and bold aesthetics.

Resonant Rock Machine
Warm and articulate tones will resonate naturally throughout the semi-hollow design of the SE Zach Myers guitar. Sitting on a very light single-cut mahogany body, the beveled maple top and striking maple veneer make an impression with close grains and deep finish. The PRS adjustable stoptail bridge works with the vintage style tuners to keep the guitar in tune at all times with precise intonation.

Fast Playing Vintage Neck
The mahogany neck of the PRS SE Zach Myers neck has a classic feel to it with its Wide Fat profile. An extremely smooth satin finish on the chunky neck allows for fret-burning runs up and down the neck. The 22-fret rosewood fingerboard is decorated with the iconic PRS bird inlays, rounding out a great-playing neck.

Vintage Inspired Pickups
Fitted with dual humbucking 245 "S" pickups, the PRS SE Zach Myers will howl with gritty tones. Based on vintage humbuckers, the 245 "S" pickups are punchy and clear while responding well to dynamics. The fat tones sound great whether you are playing through the cleanest of amps or overdriving your tone for maximum output. Each pickup has its own volume and tone knob control while a 3-way selector lets you select your pickup configuration.

I have had 4 PRS's ( Santanna, SE24, older 245SE and an american made S2 24) and all of them needed new pups and all of them just never felt right (I did my best to adapt to them but to no avail). the electronics in the PRS SE guitars IMO have the worst tone for a guitar THIS WELL MADE. I sold every one of them and vowed I would never again buy a PRS SE. HOWEVER, (YIKES) when I saw this Zach Myers Trampas green guitar I just had to try it. To my surprise it felt O.K., looked great and of course... was very well made (maybe because it is made in Korea instead of Indonesia???) I also like the fact that Paul's name is on the headstock. HOWEVER, when I plugged it in... it sounded MUDDY and had no decent response. But...considering the price of this piece I decided I would buy it anyway and have some decent electronics, tuners, knobs and pups installed... I have had it a month now and as with all the other P.R.S SE's the tone is just not there and it sounds a little trebly unplugged (so i put a cloth in the sound hole, which helped a little). Also, I would much rather have a tremolo bridge...but that's my own personal taste but as stop bars go this is pretty good. I gave this a 3 star rating mostly because of the looks of it and the feel of the wide fat neck. I would have rated this piece higher if it stayed in tune at all or if the pups were decent and there was any decent tone available on these in stock pups. This is not my go to guitar but for the price, it's a good entry level guitar. I will recommend it to all my entry level students.

Very nice guitar for the price

I own many guitars, and this is my second PRS guitar. PRS guitars are my absolute favorite. My USA model "Paul's guitar" is outstanding. This is obviously not quite as nice, but is of course the less expensive line and about 1/6 of the price. Overall, the guitar is very nice. The finish is beautiful, setup is good with good intonation, and the pickups are very good. Some people have tuning issues. I did as well, especially with the G and B strings binding at the nut. I installed heavier gauge strings (10's) with some nut sauce in the nut saddles, and have had no issues. Definitely a great guitar for the price.
