The guitar came in great condition. However, as expected, it needed a full set-up. Since I was always planning to put on EB Steel Strings (.52-.10), I knew it would require a complete readjustment with the Floyd Rose. That said, now that everything is adjusted, it plays like I was hoping it would. The 2 Strat pickups give this guitar a great set of options for clean tones and the humbucker lets you get "dirty." I think the output on the pickups on this guitar are about 15% more than "normal" and with steel strings its like 35-40%. Since they are SD pickups, the sound quality, even with the extra output, is top of the line and sounds much better than active pickups. The ONLY thing I do not like (but not enough to knock off a star) are the frets along the binding are sharp. They need filled or something as it is noticeable. As a whole, I am very pleased with the purchase. For anyone looking for a guitar that has crystal clear tones and is capable of getting dirty, this is a great choice. First Jackson I've played and owned, and I highly doubt it will be my last!
