I own many Charvel guitars, both vintage and new (USA). This guitar is "nice" but I would not consider it an "amazing" guitar based upon my preferences. My biggest complaint is the neck size... It reminds me of some LPs that I had, big and beefy (baseball bat)... not thin like some of the USA Charvels that I own (which I prefer). The build quality is great, nice and solid construction--perfect finish although I have not gigged with it yet so let's see how it holds up there. Back to the neck; I do love the wheel truss rod access, easy to access and make changes without having to take the strings off or unscrew some cover. It's a 2 piece maple neck construction that again, looks nice and somewhat easy to play, however, for my short-stubby fingers, the neck seems crowed as I get past the 9th fret... did I mention baseball bat?? My other complaint are the pickups... I like the 3-way switch and the pull-knob to go single coil but the tone was rather muddy. I had other guitars that cranked right out of the box.. not this one. Pickups can be replaced so this is not a deal breaker however, the YouTube vids I heard on this guitar sounded so much better. Bottomline: THANK YOU CHARVEL for at least putting this model out. Hopefully moving forward, they can tweak things a little such as neck profile and better quality pickups. This is a keeper just for the fact that it's a lefty-tele style Charvel.. I can correct some of the things that I don't like but my dislikes can be your likes, it only a preference issue for me. Sam Ash gave me a $100 off price plus free shipping so I really can't complain about the price. If you are a lefty, you might want to consider on of these.
