The pioneer xdj-rx2 is the best standalone dj controller built! You can the dual USB ports to charge or to load music on a thumb drive. It can be used with a laptop and rekord box,Virtual dj, DJay programs supports it! It is one of the best investments I've made!
I'm about 2 years in to my djing and I had been thinking about purchasing my own sound gear so that I may practice more at home without having to constantly practicw at others' houses. For months, I held myself back from buying my own controller because I knew I would have to commit to paying a large money sum (including monitors, cables, etc.), and didn't want to something that felt more limiting (such as the XDJ-DX that had no hot cues, recording options, etc). I originally had my eyes on the XDJ-RX, but decided to bite the bullet and pay more for the RX2. I honestly couldn't be happier. The controlled arrived in less than a week, and is pretty light for its size! The extra features that the RX2 includes are worth the money, because it makes djing feel more like you're playing on a club setup. Having hot cues, USB plug ins, extra filters, and the ability to record straight from the controller are what also sold me. I definitely recommend the RX2 for anyone wanting a controller that will give them more freedom to explore their own djing style without having to commit to the Nexus or other bigger dj setups. I am so happy with this purchase! Iegit cried when I first played a song.
I use the product to make remix Luther Vandross classics which I later then test out on your mother. So far, so good.
I'm an adult, I do not have a nickname.
Review of the Pioneer XDJ-RX2 "All-In-One" Unit and the SINGULAR Reason Why I Would NOT Purchase it Again: 1) General Overview 2) Pros and 3) Cons... 1) I've never used a computer, only vinyl. However, as nice as it is to physically hold and manipulate the tangible object which the rest of the room is hearing, carrying around a crate of records is not only obsolete, it sucks. For the most part, venues have their own equipment, and that equipment is, 9 times out of 10, Pioneer. If that's the case, for me, I literally just throw two usb flash drives in a small case and I'm stepping out for the night. If they don't use Pioneer gear and they don't have turntables, I'll be the first to admit, I wouldn't feel comfortable enough to just jump in and play a set. So, I simply place the RX2 in a hard case, and I'm gone. With that said, here are the... 2) Pros - Relatively lightweight (abt the same as carrying around a 20lb. dumbell) / Can hook turntables up to it and use as a giant mixer / Eliminates the need for a laptop / Touchscreen (although, to be honest, I rarely use this feature) / Decent amount of 2) Cons - Dropping abt $1,800 for a two-channel piece of equipment. In my opinion, THIS IS THE SINGULAR REASON WHY I WOULD NOT PURCHASE IT AGAIN. Additionally, though, yes, it is a 4 channel device, the Pioneer XDJ-XZ, IS ONLY 2 CHANNELS IN 'STAND-ALONE' MODE. I would've had zero issues paying more had the XZ been four channels in stand-alone mode. On the flipside, I would've purchased the Denon Prime 4, a true 4 channel stand-alone-unit, if it felt like establishments were starting to use Denon equipment. However, as I said earlier, it really still feels and seems as if 9 out of 10 places have Pioneer equipment. Those are my gripes. However, w/ the current state of the world comparable to that of a pressure cooker, I feel lame complaining about my $1,800 mobile dj unit not providing me with four channels. That said, I hope ppl are being safe and kind to one another.
Excellent stand alone system.
Great piece of technology. Rekordbox's ease of use makes everything flow smoothly. The quality of sound is Pioneer-grade!
I use this for hosting my monthly dance party and for at-home djing. It's a great system that allows most DJs to just come and plug into a familiar format. The touch screen feature is also very useful for looking through tacks instead of spinning the job wheel to get to a certain point. The only thing I would prefer out of this unit is the ability to adjust the resistance of the jog wheels to give it a more heavy-duty feel. Overall this is a great all-in-one system for at home and mobile DJs.
Great buy excellent
This system is great! It's great for house parties , and small events! Albert and Sammy were great as I bought this controller
