Was looking for a phaser with a small footprint, top jacks and more than one great sound on tap, and found it with the Phasor III. You are able to toggle between 4 and 6 stage phasing with one of the foot switches. Brilliant. The sounds are top notch as well. First I set up a nice, subtle phasing sound in the 4 stage "mode", which is very usable for both clean and dirt, single notes and chords. The 4 stage sound is in the ballpark of a script phase 90, but I wouldn't say its identical. But it is as "usable" as a script phase 90. Then, when I want it to go to "11", I click on the "stage" switch. And the "feedback" knob is disabled in 4 stage mode. So you can really tailor the difference in sound between 4 and 6 phase mode, without really compromising the sound of either. The pedal is definitely more expensive than your average phaser, but this is not your average phaser - either in design, execution, or sound quality.
