This PST 7 line is similar in some ways to 2002 series. This is a small 14" China. I already had a 22" 2002 China, so I was looking for opposite contrasts to this. To sum up the PST 7, it is light, responsive, bright, trashy, focused, musical, and has versatility based on the area and angle of your sticking. It can accent crash and get out of the way, kind of like a China-Splash. It can be a nice gentle Ride to counter a traditional Ride for breaks. It's a nice specialty cymbal, with a small footprint. The PST 7's are awesome sounding cymbals; check out the 16 and 18 inch crashes. 2002 Bronze, lathing, hammering, same level of craftsmanship as the 2002's have, and a bargain price.
