Two pairs of springs provide just the right counterbalance for popular broadcast microphones or other devices weighing up to 3.5 lbs. Designed for the studio environment, the MBS5000 allows for quiet, easy, and repeatable positioning, even while on-air. With the optional UM-01 Ball Joint and u-mount Snap-on Back Cover, the MBS5500 also makes an excellent hands-free tablet platform.

Square-tubing construction ensures strength and a long service life. A 10' XLR cable is pre-installed within the tubing for a clean look. A stem with standard 5/8-27 threading mates with all common mic clips and offers plenty of room for oversized shockmounts. Additionally, the MBS5000 comes with two mounting options. One is a removable C-clamp capable of grasping desktops and other surfaces up to 2" thick. The other is a screw-in flange mount for permanent desktop or overhead installations.

  • Durable articulating boom arm

Good product, I would buy it again.

I use this product to suspended condenser mic that's mounted to a shock mount with a pop filter. This product has absolutely no trouble holding the weight of the microphone, shock mount and, pop filter. So far this product has exceeded my expectations.

Not what I expected :(

This mic stand does not stand on its own!! .. In order to have this mic stand be sturdy you have to screw it into a surface which is very inconvenient because that is not mentioned in the description.

Will buy again.

Love it. Handles like a charm.

I will be back to buy more

Those products are very good

Firm and stable

Built is very nice in thia. I use it to hold one of my misc. I wish the cable was not built into this but other then that it's really nice

Does exactly what I need.

This mic boom Arm was recommended by Nick, the salesman, and it is exactly what I needed. It is sturdy, longer reach than the other model I was considering, and puts the mic wherever I want it whether recording mandolin, autoharp, guitar or vocals. It's nice to talk to people that know their stuff.

Quality product

I am not an expert and could have saved myself some aggravation by coming here first. I'm grateful for the help I received at Sam Ash. I went to a few other stores and received little to no help about what I wanted to purchase. At Sam Ash, I came in with a lot of questions and received very helpful suggestions that ultimately persuaded me to buy the boom arm. In the end I saved money and the product serves its purpose perfectly.
