I usually don't purchase a hand percussion without actually trying it out in person. A picture of the Racket Tambourine was forwarded to me by my conga player in my church choir. I own a table full of hand percussions, including LP Tamburine sticks. The Racket Tamborine turned out to be feather weight as the frame was sturdy and lightweight. The handle was made of foam material with grooves to assure a good grip. I play the Racket Tambourine with ease against my hip and/or hand with a consistent, bright sound from the nine (9) symbols. Sam Ash had a good sale and fast shipping. A great addition to my collection of percussion toys for my choir and ten piece band.
